Privacy Policy

    Effective 4 July 2026

CV Cheat Code (“we”, “us”) is a free resume builder operated by NeverWork. This policy explains what information we handle when you use the tool at create.thisisneverwork.com, and — just as importantly — what we don’t keep.

    The short version

    • Your resume content lives in your browser. We do not store your finished CV on our servers or in a database.
    • If you upload an existing CV, its text is sent to an AI service to auto-fill your details, then discarded. We don’t retain the file.
    • We don’t require an account, and we don’t sell your data.

    Information we handle

Depending on how you use the tool, this may include:

    • CV content you enter or upload — name, contact details, work history, education, skills and any other text in your resume.
    • An uploaded CV file (PDF, DOC or DOCX) — used only to extract text, then discarded.
    • A profile photo, if you add one — uploaded to our cloud storage so it can be displayed on your resume (see “Profile photos” below).
    • LinkedIn profile details, if you choose to import from LinkedIn — used to pre-fill your resume.
    • Basic technical data — your IP address is used briefly to rate-limit requests and prevent abuse. We log only a truncated portion of it.

    How your CV is processed

To auto-fill and polish your details, the text of an uploaded CV is sent to an AI service (provided via Lovable’s AI gateway, which uses Google’s Gemini model). The AI returns structured data that populates the form in your browser. The extracted text is processed for that request only and is not stored by us afterwards. If you’d rather not use AI processing, you can skip the upload and enter your details manually.

    Where your data is stored

    • Your resume: held in your browser session only. Closing or clearing your browser clears it. We keep no server-side copy.
    • Profile photos: stored in cloud storage (Lovable Cloud, built on Supabase) so they can render on your CV.

    Profile photos

If you add a profile photo, it is uploaded to a publicly accessible storage URL so it can appear on your resume and in the PDF you export. Please don’t upload a photo you wouldn’t want to be publicly viewable. If you’d like a photo removed, contact us at the address below.

    Service providers

We rely on a small number of providers to run the tool:

    • Lovable Cloud / Supabase — backend and file storage
    • Lovable AI gateway (Google Gemini) — CV text parsing
    • Vercel — website hosting
    • LinkedIn — only if you choose to import your profile

    Cookies and analytics

We use only what’s needed to run the site. We don’t use the tool to build advertising profiles of you.

    Your choices

    • Enter your details manually instead of uploading a CV or connecting LinkedIn.
    • Don’t add a profile photo if you’d prefer nothing be uploaded.
    • Contact us to request removal of a profile photo you uploaded.

    Security

Connections are encrypted over HTTPS, requests are rate-limited to deter abuse, and our server-side keys are never exposed to your browser. No system is perfectly secure, but because we don’t retain your resume, there’s very little of your data for us to hold.

    Children

This tool is intended for adults building professional resumes and is not directed at children.

    Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the effective date above.
